APHA Events
The Leadership Gathering is an annual conference for APHA and AjPHA leaders to connect and discuss the association’s future. At this gathering, meetings take place for advisory committees, the board of directors and members. Our members voices are valued, and all members are invited to attend. Educational and social activities also take place at the event, which allow members to connect with Paint enthusiasts from around the world. This event takes place annually in late February and early March in Fort Worth, Texas.
The Cowgirl Gathering is a celebration of cowgirls from all walks of life. Featuring an all-women team roping, a breakaway roping and a barrel race, a professional and personal development workshop, and fashion and art shows, the Cowgirl Gathering provides a space for women to network, grow and show off their talents. It is the heart and soul of a cowgirl that makes her unique, and the Cowgirl Gathering showcases that very spirit each May in the heart of Fort Worth, Texas.
The Red Steagall Cowboy Gathering is the perfect event for the whole family! Over 30 years ago, legendary singer-songwriter Red Steagall started this event to educate the public about the Western way of life. Since then, it has grown to include ranch rodeo competitions, an authentic chuckwagon cookoff, cowboy poetry, a Western swing festival and more! Numerous youth events also give young cowboys and cowgirls the chance to compete for scholarships. To date, over $1 million has been awarded to youth participants! Come out and join us each October for a weekend of authentic Western heritage in the Fort Worth Stockyards.
