Barrel racing boosted by $53,000 at 2025 APHA World Show
Barrel jockeys—get your Paint Horses ready to run. The 2025 APHA World Show features $53,000 added just for barrel racing exhibitors. A huge chunk of that cash—$42,000—is added to the popular PBRIP Barrel Racing Sweepstakes on July 5, which often boasts one of the show’s largest groups of entries. That event also features added incentives for the Top 10 Texas-bred horses and a $5,000 PBRIP 4- & 5-Year-Old Futurity sidepot.
Barrel racing and other speed events take place July 4–5 at the Fort Worth-based APHA World Show.

Venue Details
Speed events will take place in the Covered Pavilion (the covered arena north of Richardson-Bass Building/John Justin Arena) at the Will Rogers Memorial Center. The historic Will Rogers Coliseum is undergoing multimillion-dollar renovations during 2025, designed to enhance the customer experience for future events, and is closed for the 2025 season.
APHA is working closely with the Will Rogers Memorial Center staff to ensure ample space and amenities are provided for our 2025 APHA World Show. The Pavilion will be transformed into a quality competition space, including excellent footing, décor, seating and other accommodations designed to ensure the safety and comfort of our horses, exhibitors and spectators.
