YEDA & APHA join forces to benefit youth

YEDA—Youth Equestrian Development Association—recently joined forces with APHA as an alliance partner. Both organizations are passionate about providing educational and personal development opportunities for youth, in and out of the saddle.

YEDAYEDA’s mission is to provide an equestrian riding program for youth students, primarily from fourth grade through high school. The organization offers equestrian competitions, clinics, networking and recruitment events designed to foster the development of riding abilities and life skills. Rail and pattern classes are offered across various skill levels and in disciplines spanning ranch, horsemanship and reining.

This partnership will create greater cross-promotion at events like the APHA World Championship Show and YEDA National Championship. Providing greater exposure to APHA and Paint Horses while nurturing the development of skills at a grassroots level is one way to cultivate new members, exhibitors and horsemen.

“Together with APHA and YEDA, we are excited to embark on a partnership that will nurture and develop the next generation of equestrians,” APHA Director of Judges & Professional Horsemen Sandy Jirkovsky said. “This collaboration fuels our passion for providing young riders with the tools, opportunities and support they need to excel both in and out of the saddle. We would like to see more youth showing American Paint Horses, and the YEDA program is a great start.”
