Tim Snapp lopes to victory in the Breeders’ Trust Non-Pro 3-Year-Old Western Pleasure

Tim Snapp of New Carlisle, Ohio, and his gelding Good To Know stole the show in the Breeders’ Trust Non-Pro 3-Year-Old Western Pleasure, winning $2,934 of the class’ nearly $5,000 purse. The 2017 sorrel gelding is by CR Good Machine and out of A Little Extra Zip. The pair left the arena with a large check in hand and an even bigger smile.

“It was awesome! That was one of the best rides I’ve ever had on him,” Tim said.

It is clear Tim has a great relationship with “Mac” and is very fond of the young gelding. The nickname came to be after the gelding was born on the birthday of Tim’s father-in-law, Jerry Mac. This was Tim and Mac’s last show together, so Tim was excited to end on a successful note. He’s excited to watch Mac’s career grow in the all-around classes with his new owner.

But this isn’t the end of the trail for Tim—he and wife Cindy still own Mac’s full brother, a 2-year-old they plan to show in the Breeders’ Trust Western pleasure and hunter under saddle stakes classes next year—Tim says he hopes that horse will be just as successful as his brother Mac.
