Meet PHJ Pro Team member Sidney Thomas

Sidney Thomas

Nickname: Singing Sid

Favorite restaurant: Anywhere I can get a good steak. I also love my Grandma Polly’s cornbread and eat it with milk at least a couple times a week.

Favorite vacation spot: Lake Douglas, Tennessee

Favorite movie: Tombstone. I nearly have it memorized.

I’ve started showing in open shows in 7th grade.

Hobby: I like to fish when I can.

My favorite horse is A Secret Addiction, aka “Huck.”

My favorite article of clothing is jeans. I wear them daily with my favorite Justin Remuda boots.

My favorite singers are Waylon Jennings, George Jones and Merle Haggard … in that order.

My good luck charm is God. I used to be superstitious before I was saved; I wouldn’t leave my hat on the bed or wear yellow to show.

I could not live without Jesus, my wife and my family.

People might not know that I used to rodeo. I rode bareback horses and was on the road for about 10 years.

If I didn’t show halter horses, I would show cutters because of the extreme talent of the horses.

Advice for other professionals: Work with honesty and integrity. It’s what we have built our business on; we refer to it as the “Cowboy Code Book.”
