The Fort Worth Stockyards currently boats two stores with the name “General Store.” Upon APHA’s move to the stockyards, we would be the third store with such a name. The key element of branding is differentiation. Sharing the same store name with two other stores in the stockyards would not serve to differentiate our brand. Please welcome our new store brand, “The Barn Door.”
Simple Parliamentary Procedures
- Motions can be amended during discussion to change, remove or add wording to the motion, if defeated the original motion continues to vote
- Debate can be closed by several options: (reasonable length of time, too long, getting off point)
- Vote of the group (2/3 vote)
- The chair if no one seeks the floor for further debate
- Move to call the previous question
- Move to limit discussion to two minutes per speaker
- After discussion, the chair restates the motion and conducts the vote and announces the result of the vote

Self-Interest: A director/alternate/committee member shall refrain from the use of the Association, its personnel or property to further his/her own purposes or business gain and shall avoid situations or receipt of benefits that hint of favoritism. A director/alternate/committee member should not use his/her position for personal gain.
