2018 APHA Youth World Show Premium Book
We can’t wait to see you and your Paint Horse in Fort Worth for the 2018 APHA Youth World Championship Show—the Premium Book is now available at apha.com/ywcs/forms, including entry forms and details. Time to start dreaming big and making plans to attend the biggest and best all-Youth Paint Horse show in the world!
2018 registration-based rule changes go into effect
A pair of rule changes that were passed at the 2018 APHA Convention and approved for early implementation by the APHA board of directors will go into effect March 15, 2018. Both strive to include more tobiano horses in the popular RG-070.E rule that provides Regular Registry advancement to solid Paint-breds that meet requirements based on parentage, presence of a Paint trait and presence of a Paint pattern gene.
3 new 2018 APHA performance rules in effect
Three new performance rules were passed with early implementation by the Board of Directors at the 2018 APHA Convention in Irving, Texas. All three rules reach a wide range of exhibitors, including those in Mexico and Europe. By putting SC-320 and YP-080 into effect early this year, the Board of Directors and APHA hope to see an international increase in Paint Horse registrations and show entries.

Team USA 2018 Youth World Games roster
Many accomplished and talented AjPHA members applied for the opportunity to represent the United States in the 2018 AjPHA Youth World Games, taking place during the AjPHA Youth World Championship Show in Fort Worth, Texas. After a very thorough review process, five applicants rose to the top of a competitive pool of talent.

Our 2019 Move to the Stockyards
In this section of LeaderCare, we will be updating you weekly on what is going on with our relocation to the Stockyards Historic District.
Want to know what if going on in the Fort Worth Stockyards 24/7. Check out this live cam located at https://www.webcamtaxi.com/en/usa/texas/fort-worth-stockyards.html. Perched on roof of the Cowtown Coliseum, the live cam faces south and the Horse & Mule Barns. APHA’s new office will be toward the back of the West Mule Barn, located in the center of the cam image. If you watch the feed at 11:30 am and 4:00 pm CST, you will be able to view the Fort Worth Herd’s twice-daily cattle drive. Once construction begins on APHA’s new office, a web cam will be installed so you can see the building come to life.
