2020 Presidential Commission
Review of the Restricted Registry Proposal Submitted by Breed Integrity Committee
Read the findings of the 2020 Presidential Commission assigned to review the Restricted Registry proposal submitted by the APHA Breed Integrity Committee. The Commission finds that:
– The Restricted Registry proposal is too costly to implement
– The Restricted Registry proposal is designed to assist a small number of SPB horses that compete and yet it impacts the entire Paint Horse breeding community.
– The commission concludes the complexity of the proposal imposed on the entire membership will cause confusion and frustration in the non-show world.
– The Presidential Commission recommends SPB’s should have the option of purchasing an annual competition license to show in Regular Registry classes
