Two APHA members win luxury vacations just by joining or renewing their memberships

Two APHA members recently earned big perks just for being part of the APHA family. The association teamed up with Gateway Canyons Resort & Spa in Gateway, Colorado, and Salamander Resort & Spa in Middleburg, Virginia, to offer the chance to win luxury vacations to anyone who joined, renewed or extended their APHA membership by July 9. One lucky APHA member and one lucky AjPHA member were recently chosen through a random drawing.

Brad Spurlin of Novinger, Missouri, won the Gateway Canyons luxury getaway. Brad and a guest will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of attractions, from exploring the outdoors to relaxing by the pool, thanks to the wide range of amenities offered by Gateway Canyons. Included in the APHA membership grand-prize drawing package is a three-night stay for two in a Gateway Canyons Kiva Deluxe room, dinner for two at Entrada Restaurant, daily breakfast for two and an Adventure Center Activity for two.

Gateway Canyons has something for everyone: hiking, off-roading, air tours, horseback riding, shooting, mountain biking, fly-fishing, tours of the Colorado wine country, complementary yoga classes and more—all in the stunning red rock canyons of Colorado. Condé Nast named Gateway Canyons Resort the No. 1 Best Resort in Colorado, the No. 3 Best Resort in the United States and the No. 12 Best Resort in the world.

salamanderAmerican Junior Paint Horse Association member Elysia C., of Actworth, Georgia, and three guests are headed to Salamander Resort & Spa, named by Condé Nast Traveler as one of the Top 10 Best Resorts in the South for 2015. Elysia’s prize pack includes a three-night stay for four, zip line tour, four “rider’s relief” massages and social polo, which includes group instruction and a scrimmage.

The beautiful Salamander Resort, located in Virginia’s horse country, offers many special attractions for equine fanatics: a horsemanship club for both adults and children, lessons and trail rides, and opportunities to learn to better connect with your equine partner through body synergy and equine communication classes.

Congratulations, Brad and Elysia!
