Platinum Breeders’ Futurity nominations off to a strong start in 2018

APHA’s Platinum Breeders’ Futurity program is off to a strong start for 2018, and has already seen an increase in the number of stallions paying into this unique halter futurity program. Platinum enrollment—done by stallion owners for a specific breeding year—makes their stallion’s resulting offspring eligible to compete for huge payouts in non-pro exhibitor weanling classes at the APHA World Championship Show.

Already for 2018, 14 stallion owners have paid their horses’ first Platinum enrollment. This is an increase over nine enrolled Platinum stallions for 2017. In addition, several stallion owners have paid their horses into the Platinum program for 2019—eager to reap a full year of promotional benefit.

“The Platinum Breeders’ Futurity is showing great growth for 2018, with 14 stallions paying their first enrollment fee and 52 mares nominated to the program—both of which are increases over 2017,” Director of Breeders’ Trust/Breeders’ Futurity Matt Arias said. “As a result, we are looking at an especially bright future for the Platinum Breeders’ Futurity in 2019. I am very excited to see what 2018 and beyond have in store for the Platinum Breeders’ Futurity!”

The Platinum Mare nomination deadline has been extended—mare owners, if you bred to a Platinum-eligible stallion in 2017, you can make her 2018 foal eligible to compete at the 2018 World Show for the reduced rate of $200 through February 15. Don’t miss this extension!
