Longtime directors and innovative regional clubs honored at 2016 APHA Convention

APHA enjoys its present day success in part to the dedication of outstanding regional clubs and lifelong members at its core. The association was pleased to recognize outstanding individuals and clubs at the 2016 APHA Convention on February 28 in Richmond, Virginia.

Five APHA members were honored with their Director Tenure pins—these elected National Directors have served in their posts for 30 years:

  • Barbara Brunner
  • Sally Griffin (pictured)
  • Bill Hittle
  • Brad Perkins (pictured)
  • Gregg Reisinger (pictured)

Five APHA Regional Clubs were also honored for their work in promoting creative show formats and membership recruitment; each club received $1,000 from APHA as part of the Regional Club Sponsorship Award. They were:

  • Garden State Paint Horse Club
  • Michigan Paint Horse Club
  • Minnesota North Star Paint Horse Club
  • Texas Paint Horse Club
  • Wisconsin Paint Horse Club
