Give back on #GivingTuesday

Support the future of the Paint Horse industry this holiday season by donating to the American Paint Horse Foundation. The foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is dedicated to supporting the continuing education of Youth involved in APHA.

#GivingTuesday is a global initiative that is observed on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.  Since #GivingTuesday’s inaugural year in 2012, it has quickly gained momentum as a kickoff to the charitable season. Make APHF part of your #GivingTuesday plans by donating to the APHF academic scholarship general fund or Youth World Show general fund.

Each year, the APHF awards more than 50 scholarships to AjPHA members to help them achieve their goals and gain access to higher education. Since the program’s inception, APHF has issued more than 300 scholarships worth more than $800,000. These scholarships are the result of academic endowments that have been set up over the past 30 years. Some are memorial scholarships and others are honorariums, but more than half have been set up by regional Paint Horse clubs.

At the 2015 AjPHA Youth World Championship Show, the APHF awarded more than $165,000 in scholarships to first- through third-place exhibitors as well as a random scholarship winner in each class; other classes awarded scholarships to the Top Five or Top Six exhibitors, thanks to private donors. The long-term goal of the APHF is to create a Youth World Show endowment that will permanently support Youth World Show scholarships.

“Making a #GivingTuesday donation to the American Paint Horse Foundation is an investment in young people with big dreams,” said APHF Director Laura Jesberg. “Our scholarships help educate future generations, who will eventually take over the reins of the association.”

Donations can be made by check, money order or our easy online donation form at apha.com/foundation/aphf-donation-formFor more information, contact APHF Director Laura Jesberg at (817) 222-6412 or [email protected].
