APHA partners with Perris Leather to benefit World Show exhibitors

APHA recently agreed to partner with Perri’s Leather to provide top-placing APHA World Championship Show exhibitors with custom award halters. Beginning with the 2016 AjPHA Youth World Show, the Top 10 Youth exhibitors in all world championship classes will take home personalized halters and lead ropes courtesy of Perri’s. Additionally, Top Five exhibitors at the 2016 APHA World Championship Show will also receive award halters and leads.

What’s especially significant about the new partnership is how it came about. The Pennsylvania-based company’s founder, Carla Perri, has worked for more than 15 years to transform the equine industry from within by offering unique, premium quality leather goods at affordable prices—APHA members might have read Carla’s story in the Winter 2015 issue of Chrome, APHA’s premier Western lifestyle publication. A longtime APHA member and current national director, Carla has personally competed at the APHA World Show and understands firsthand the importance of awards to its exhibitors.

“At Perri’s, horses are not only our passion, but also our way of life,” Carla said. “As dedicated horse people, we strive to create products that we love to use and in turn, share that passion and excitement with our customers. As a team, we are continuously in the process of developing new, creative product lines that we know future World Show exhibitors will love as much as we do!”

APHA Senior Director of Show and Contest Holly Slaughter is equally excited about the partnership.

“The APHA staff and governance is very appreciative of our sponsors, as they help us provide extended awards and prize money to our exhibitors. We look forward to working with Carla Perri and her team in 2016 and beyond.”

From its inception, Perri’s has specialized in carrying a broad product line of staple items, alsong with personalized service and prompt delivery. Today, Perri’s products are carried by more than 850 retail stores in the United States and Canada. To see its current inventory or purchase products online, visit perrisleather.com.
